Case Study

Case Study – The Royal Embassy of Saudi ArabiaEmma’s Test

Project Overview

The Atelier were contracted to enhance the security of the Royal Embassy of Saudi Arabia by elongating the existing railings through the manufacturing and installation of a panel at the base of the railings. The work initially came from a word-of-mouth recommendation from another client. It was essential that the work was completed to the highest possible standard due to the prestigious nature of the client.

Project Details

The main brief of the embassy was to match the material and style of the existing metal railings so that welding was not visible. They required a completely seamless finished product, and all work had to be completed on the site itself. These enhanced security measures throughout the project were important due to the sensitive nature of the client.

The work commenced with initial client consultations and site visits followed by CAD modelling, prototyping, a client inspection of our workshop followed by fabrication and installation. There was a daily inspection from the client to ensure that the level of workmanship was to the highest standard and clear, continual communication.

The work was entirely fabricated from solid mild steel which was powder-coated and galvanised by the founder of The Atelier – Mauro. Installation took place in the capable hands of three to four specialists on site.

The safety protocols in this instance were handled directly by the contractor including risk assessments, RAMS and PPE.

Results

Mauro says We were delighted with the final result of this bespoke work for the Royal Embassy of Saudi Arabia’. The job requires little to no ongoing maintenance due to the galvanisation of the steel.
