Case Study
Case Study – COR-TEN Steel Flower Beds in Barnes, London
Project Overview
We were commissioned by Outsiders Landscape Group, a garden and landscaping company operating across London, the UK and parts of Europe. We have partnered with Outsiders before and were keen to accept the brief – a complete overhaul of the client’s landscape garden using COR-TEN steel to create flower beds at a residential property in Castelnau, Barnes.
Project Details
The most important aspect of the project was that the steel flower beds fit with the design and look of the property. COR-TEN steel was the perfect material option in this case. Not only is this material architecturally-popular due to it’s rusty orange rugged aesthetic, it is also used increasingly in sustainable building design. It develops a self-protecting rust layer preventing deeper corrosion so there is no need for galvanisation or paint and is also durable outdoors and low maintenance, requiring no regular upkeep.
Results
The project took 4- 5 weeks to complete and we were really happy with the finished design. This material could be used for any internal or external metalwork project such as cladding, tables, shelves and decorative objects.
What the Client says...
The client were really happy with the finished project and we hope to work together with them again.
